The MakAir project, initiated in Nantes, is a respirator dedicated to the treatment of COVID-19 and adapted to the needs of intensive care.
It was created primarily to help hospitals cope with the massive influx of patients in intensive care units.
It is a respirator :
- Complies with all current medical standards
- Open source
- Adapted to today's needs,
This project was born from a collective of more than 250 women and men in France and abroad and from the collaboration of public and private organizations.
Tame-Care through TRONICO has been involved in the project since its genesis, bringing its recognized competence in medical electronics to the design, industrialization and production of the MakAir artificial respirator.
The collective developed this artificial respirator in less than 5 weeks. The record development time of this project underlines the technical prowess of this collective. Tame-Care and all the actors of this project were able to demonstrate their technical and organizational quality in order to design and produce this artificial respirator.
This crazy project brought together people who are passionate about their profession and who didn't count their hours.
The teams were able to combine a Start-Up phylosophy for the agile & reactive side, with an industrial approach in order to optimize its design, its manufacture, and to ensure the compliance of the medical device with European regulations.
